*NEW *Get Back Into Courses for the 50+’s!
It’s been a while since any new Get back Into courses have started, (and we know how much you have enjoyed them in the past), so we thought it was about time we got you moving again!
The locations for our next two courses will be the newly refurbished swimming and ice rink (opening soon) facilities at Riverside Ice and Leisure Centre to host Get Back Into Swimming and Get Back Into Ice Skating! As in the past, the programme of sessions will be aimed at beginners and will take place over a number of weeks.
Get Back Into Swimming
These classes will be suitable for people who are either Non Swimmers or Complete Beginners i.e. you are happy to get into the water but unable to swim very far at all.
Get Back Into Ice Skating
These classes will be for those who have either never skated before or who have tip toed onto the ice but are perhaps a little prone to falling down!
For now, it would be great if you could let us know if you are interested in taking part. Both courses will be starting before the end of the year and will last between 6 and 8 weeks.
Fit for Life at Riverside
Fit for Life is shortly beginning its fourth programme (dates TBC), this time at Riverside Ice and Leisure Centre. Previous Fit for Life schemes have proved hugely successful with over 60 of you taking part across Springfield, Meadgate and Rettendon, and has included you trying out a wide variety of new classes over the 5 week period including Keep Fit, Walking, Resistance and Circuit training and Pilates.
Fit for Life is again aimed at people aged 50+ and gently introduces you to five different types of group workout session. The great thing about running it at Riverside is that following the course, you will be able to find similar classes in all five sessions to continue. What’s more, you’ll already be at home with the venue!
